When you two are wherever alone, it becomes easier to bring up a conversation regarding physical interest. At this time you tell her the truth, don't insult her or intentionally make her sad/mad, just let her know how you feel and what your comfort zone is with her. Guys commonly complain about women who "play games" when it comes to dating by doing things very similar to what you're doing. You're going to set a bad precedent for yourself and give off a false message to this girl. I had a close female friend in high school was attracted to me and I wasn't interested in her. I politely let her know I was not interested and that I would like to remain friends with her. Things are fine between us today. I can't say how she feels but at the very least, I no longer feel uncomfortable when with her alone and he can just enjoy whatever it is we are doing.
